>> The Coast of Northern Peru offers beautiful beaches and sunny weather all year round. Located in a bay which protects it from the wind, Punta Veleros offers a wide variety of watersports. It is set apart from the usual tourist routes which gives it privacy and a relaxed family atmosphere.

Location:  Punta Veleros is located next to the town of Los Organos, Peru, 15 minutes away from the resort town of Mancora. Daily one hour flights from  Lima to Piura or Tumbes  are available followed by a one hour shuttle ride. Overnight busses (Ormeño and Cruz del Sur) depart Lima in the afternoon and arrive to Los Organos early the following morning. At Los Organos there are many small stores, a market, hospital, Banco de la Nacion, Internet and gas station. Visa and Visa Electron credit card holders can use the automatic teller located in Mancora. Every Friday evening in front of the market, the local weekly mercadillo takes place . Here vendors put up their tent bazars and offer their wares....anything from pins to pans, fabrics, clothing, toys etc

Local surroundings: To the north is Vichayito beach, “Las Pocitas” and the tourist town of Mancora. To the south is a long stretch of solitary beaches that lead  to the fishing village of  “El Ñuro¨.
Continuing south along the coast is Cabo Blanco.  This small fishing village, was Ernest Hemingway´s hideout and his inspiration for  “The Old Man and the Sea”. It also holds the world record for Black Marlin Fishing and has one of Peru´s most perfect waves for surfing.

Tres Botes

Climate: The usually cold Pacific Ocean is slightly warmer here due  to the “El Niño” current.  The pleasant warm climate has a year round temperature range  of  75-90°F. Seasons are almost non-existent with January through March being the warmest months and June to August being slightly cooler. It is sunny all year round.

Food: The abundantly varied marine life and the exotic fruits and vegetables of Peru offer you an incomparable eating experience. Local fisherman deliver to your door fresh catches like yellow-fin tuna, sea bass, oysters, squid, lobster, shrimp, octopus, swordfish, etc. It is not uncommon for all this variety to be available in one day! All your meals and of course, your “ceviches” will be prepared by an experienced cook.
